Into the Heart of Nature
The second day of Mythri Community Living Camp, on 19 August 2026, began at 6:00 a.m. As the campus slowly came alive, the participants prepared themselves for another day of shared experiences, learning, and togetherness. The morning began with a refreshing yoga session led by Dr. Geetha Kumari, creating a calm and energetic start to the day. This was followed by the morning assembly, which brought everyone together and strengthened the spirit of discipline and unity.
After recreation, personal hygiene, and breakfast, the students eagerly set out at 9:45 a.m. for Peechi Dam. The much-awaited field trip provided a refreshing break from the usual classroom environment and offered the student teachers an opportunity to connect with nature and learn through direct experience. The visit continued until 4:15 p.m., making it one of the most memorable experiences of the day.
The Peechi Dam visit was made more engaging by the presence of Fine Arts faculty John Sir . The guidance and interaction added to the sense of companionship and safety. A team-wise reels competition was also conducted at Peechi Dam, where students creatively captured the beauty of nature and their shared moments. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and the use of digital media, making the trip even more memorable.
Back at the camp, a short tea break was followed by flash mob practice. The students came together with energy and enthusiasm, working on rhythm, coordination, creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
The evening offered time for recreation and personal refreshment before the students gathered for cultural activities. The lively performances created a cheerful atmosphere and gave students an opportunity to express their talents and enjoy one another's company. After dinner, a brief reflection session allowed the participants to pause and revisit the experiences and lessons of the day.
The day concluded with a much-loved film show of CID Moosa. After a day filled with travel, activity, teamwork, and learning, the film brought everyone together for a relaxed and entertaining end to the evening. At the same time, the film served as an opportunity to relax revisit and recreation through visual media, as envisioned in the day's programme. The screening continued until 11:30 p.m.
Day 2 of Mythri was a beautiful blend of nature, learning, laughter, responsibility, and togetherness. From the quiet energy of morning yoga to the excitement of the Peechi Dam trip, from working together to beautify the campus to the songs, activities, cultural moments, and the laughter shared during CID Moosa, every experience added another layer to the community living journey. It was a day where learning happened not only through planned activities, but also through the simple joy of being together.
